Funded Positions

Brain Organoid (Image Credit: Laura-Yvonne Gherghina)

Our group has several funded positions for enthusiastic postdoctoral researchers and a research assistant to join our team at the Department of Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine Institute, New York University Grossman School of Medicine. Our lab uses human brain organoids and Drosophila to study neural stem cell biology, having previously identified mechanisms underlying quiescence, reactivation, regulation of neuronal identity and tumourigenesis.

We develop novel genome-wide profiling technologies for in vivo analysis, such as Targeted DamID (Southall et al., Dev Cell, 2013), RNA-DamID (Cheetham and Brand, 2018, Nat. Struct. Mol), MaTaDa (Cheetham et al, 2018, Dev.) and NanoDam (Tang et al., Dev Cell, 2022) and make use of single-cell multiomics, proteomics, confocal and super-resolution microscopy.

We are a friendly group of diverse and interdisciplinary researchers. NYU Medical School is a vibrant research community offering cutting-edge scientific facilities (including state-of-the-art microscopy, proteomics and sequencing cores) and opportunities to collaborate with basic scientists and clinicians.
